Draw Dates

Riverside Coyotes holds 21 consecutive weekly draw events, starting late April/early May. We play each Wednesday morning, unless the course is closed. We ask that each member commit to playing at least TEN events per season, if able. In addition to the regular draws, we have a number of special draws, and depending on favourable weather, we try and slot in a pre-season warm up draw, as well as post-season draws for players still wanting to continue into the fall season.

Tee Times
Each week around 100 members play, which takes about 3 hours to tee off, starting around 7.30am. You will be asked to indicate your tee time preference – either early half of the morning or later in the morning. This creates two roughly equal sized groups. To create Coyote camaraderie, you will be grouped with different players each draw. Upon request, the Drawmaster incorporates any specific personal, work or health situations. If you want to play with the same foursome each week, our club may not be for you.

Advanced Booking
Riverside Coyotes operates on the assumption that you will be playing each week UNLESS you let the Drawmaster know you won’t be playing specific dates. You will be asked to indicate your best guess of dates you WILL NOT be playing – no response means you’ll be there.

Tee Selection
Riverside Golf Course offers three tee choices – Front tees (White) closest to the pin, Middle tees (Black) and Back tees (Gold) furthest from the pin. Although Black is our default tee selection, we encourage higher handicap players to consider starting from the White (front) tees. While players are not limited by age when choosing which tee to start from, being mindful of pace-of-play we do ask that players consider their average driving distance and ball striking ability when making their selection.

Keeping Score
Players are responsible for entering their own scores into Golf Canada and maintaining a current handicap (membership with Golf Canada is included in your membership fee). If a member is uncertain how to enter his scores into Golf Canada, assistance can be found at the Pro Shop or members of Coyotes Executive. Following the round, scorecards are initialed confirming the score submitted. These results are recorded and ranked in each of three handicap brackets. The scorecards remain with Riverside Coyotes and are used to calculate RivEx points, player rankings, and game statistics. Winnings are awarded at the Annual Awards Luncheon.
